We have all been there. You just got hired for your first teaching job. You may have met your team during the interview process, but odds are that you haven’t, not all of them at least. The wheels in your head can’t stop spinning with all the fresh and new ways that you are going to change the world and impact your students for the better. You are ready to take the world by storm, but first, you are a little nervous about meeting your team.
Do you remember it? I do clear as day. I had an awesome team and a great mentor. Still, though, there are a few things I wish I would have been told to me or done when I was a new teacher to make the transition just a little bit smoother.
