This third grade multiplication and division test prep bundle is a no frills all action product meant to cement students’ knowledge of multiplication and division for standardized testing. All ten of the activities included were created entirely in black and white to save on colored ink, and make for easy use of the copy machine.
I use these activities in class and with my testing study group after school.
It was created with the following standards in mind:
3.4(K) solve one-step and two-step problems involving multiplication and division within 100 using strategies based on objects; pictorial models, including arrays, area models, and equal groups; properties of operations; or recall of facts.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.OA.A.3 Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.OA.C.7 Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8×5=40, one knows 40/5=8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
All of the activities included are designed to be used to fill in any gaps that students may have understanding how to determine whether they are to multiply or divide in a problem situation and then solve.
Each activity can be completed in a variety of settings to meet the needs of every learner in your classroom.
