This fifth grade graphing numerical patterns test prep bundle is a no frills all action product meant to cement students’ knowledge of graphing numerical patterns for standardized testing. All ten of the activities included were created entirely in black and white to save on colored ink, and make for easy use of the copy machine.
I use these activities in class and with my testing study group after school.
It was created with the following standards in mind:
5.4c generate a numerical pattern when given a rule in the form y=ax=x+a and graph
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.5.OA.B.3 Generate two numerical patterns using two given rules. Identify apparent relationships between corresponding terms. Form ordered pairs consisting of corresponding terms form the two pattern, and graph the ordered pairs on a coordinate plane. For example, given the rule “Add 3” and the starting number 0, and given the rule “Add 6” and the starting number 0, generate terms in the resulting sequences, and observe that the terms in one sequence are twice the corresponding terms in the other sequence. Explain informally why this is so.
All of the activities included are designed to be used to fill in any gaps that students may have understanding how to graph numerical patterns.
